1. Hide and Seek
  • First hide a few treats in plain sight.  You may have to show them where they are to get the game
    started.
  • Place your dog in another room after showing them the treats for a good build up.
  • Then start hiding them under and behind things. Hide bits of treats around the house when your
dog is not looking.  Maybe you have a tracker instead of a Coton.

Play builds communication skills, provides exercise, provides an alternative to conventional training, and
play bonds the dog to the person.

2.  Dog Party
  • This is the best exercise you can do with your Coton for the inside.  Ask a friend to bring their dog
over for play. Dog play dates upkeep socialization.
  • Make sure that all dogs have had a potty break prior to play.
  • Make sure that there is enough room that the dogs will not get hurt while at play.
  • Pizza is good for the 2 legged animal.
  • Soon after they learn to play well together, you can arrange a overnight  pajama party for incase you
    need an overnight baby sitter.

3.  The Shell Game
Teach your puppy the doggie version of the Old Shell Game.
  • You will need some fragrant treats and three identical plastic containers, such as cottage cheese
    tubs.
  • Start with just one, letting your puppy watch you hide a treat under the inverted container.  Then
    encourage her to find it.
  • When she's figured that out, add the second container and let her sniff out the one hiding the treat.
  • Then add the third.
  • Soon you'll be able to mix them around and she'll still find the right one.
  • Invite your friends to play against your pup....your puppy will win and amaze your friends.
