    Development Deadlines:
    Socialized to people by 12 weeks
    Error-less Housetraining:
    Make sure you learn how to housetrain BEFORE you get your puppy
    Home Alone:
    Puppy needs some acceptable form of occupation to pass the time while it is left at home
    alone.  Stuffing several Kong chew toys with your puppy's daily allotment of kibble will teach your
    new puppy to settle down calmly and quietly. This will help to eliminate chewing problems,
    excessive barking.
    Bite Inhibition:
    Timeline is 18 weeks.  Your new puppy must develop a soft mouth.   Meaning it must know how to
    squabble with other puppies without causing harm.
    Socialization:
    Your puppy must meet 100 people in the safety of your own home before it is 12 weeks old.  
    Puppy Parties would be a great idea.
    Handfeed:
    By hand feeding you teach dogs to like hands and people.  Hand feed to teach dogs to like kibble,
    which may be used effectively as lures and rewards for handling and exercises and for teaching
    basic manners.

    Get your puppy to watch you!:
    When hand feeding, wait for your pup to glance at you before offering a piece of kibble.  Attention is
    the foundation of all communication and training.  Progressively increase the length of time your
    pup is required to look at you for a piece of kibble.  -----one second, two seconds, there, five, ten.....
    before you know it, your pup will not be able to take his eyes off you.

    Simple emergency comands....can prevent most bothersome behavior problems.

    Timeline 18 weeks old.   Off lease play sessions are absolutely essential for establishing
    reliable bite-inibition.  Puppy KinderGarden and Obedience Classes are a must.
